CLUB PRESIDENTS REPORT

One month has elapsed since sending out my very first report. Whilst you will not see any changes to the Club since I became President much is taking place behind the scenes

to set the path in the direction I would like to see the Club take.

That said I do point out that any ideas or initiatives I, or indeed any member, may bring forward, none will be activated without the sanction and approval of your Board.

So if you have any ideas, questions or concerns about your Club, please contact Terri in the office or myself. We will then take whatever action is appropriate and if necessary bring the subject to the attention of the Board.

The Board is agreed that the Computer system servicing the Clubs needs is antiquated and past its use by date. This is about to change. Also our Webmaster will be bringing our website up to date this month.

Acknowledging that each of the Divisions conducts their own administrative affairs, I hold the belief that each Division should hold one position on the Board with full participation and voting rights. This will be an item on the Agenda for the next meeting.

I am delighted to advise you that at the July Meeting we welcomed onto the Board Mrs Karen Hampf. Karen has accepted my invitation to take on the challenge and has become our Social Division member. On behalf of all Club Members I welcome Karen to the team.

By now most of you would know that Terry Owens has stepped aside from his position as part time book keeper. I am sure you will all join me in thanking Terry for the fine job he has done in keeping the financials side of the Club in shape.

Terri has now appointed Ms Zrinka – who answers to the nickname of Zee - to this position, and we welcome her into the team.

Your Board have now given their seal of approval for the Club to make application to conduct a Major Raffle. My next report should contain more detailed information on this.

The Terms and Conditions contained in the draft Lease Agreement between the Club and Nomadz Caterers have been revisited, and have been accepted by the Board. Signing of this Agreement will take place on 1 August 2009.    

The next Board Meeting will be held on Monday 10 August 2009.
